when the rains came

It has *poured* with rain today. At the moment, it's raining so hard that we have a wee river flowing down our driveway. And the gutters out on the street are rushing with water.

I would go out and take photos but it's raining! And it's getting dark. Not like Scotland at all at this time of year when it's normally still light at 11pm when I head for bed.

It doesn't look like it's going to get much better over the next few days either! Yikes!



Doesn't bode well for the British Open (Golf) along at St. Andrews. I hope they've brought their thermals and waterproofs!

By the way, weather gods - it's meant to be the middle of JULY!!!

    So that's where all the cool weather has gone this summer! We had a cool summer last year, but this year it's HOT! Hope it dries out there soon!

    You know you're a grown up when you're quite happy with the rain because it means you don't have to go out and water your flowers or veggies!
