Here are some photos I took today of our Livingstone Daisies which Douglas grew from seed. They are indeed the friendliest flower. :o)

I realise there's a photo of Rosie in there - but she was there - watching a bee - so I took a photo of her.

choc chip cookies

I made some chocolate chip cookies today. They are sooooo yummy and more-ish. Here's a pic of them shown beside a couple of large eggs to show how huge they are.



Here's the recipe:

Chocolate Chip Cookies

4oz butter - room temp
½ cup SB sugar
½ cup gran sugar
1tsp vanillla extract
1 large egg
⅓ cup cocoa
1 cup flour
½ tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
12oz choc chips - 3 pkts

Preheat oven to 170ºC

Cream butter & sugars until light and fluffy. Add vanilla and egg and mix well. Add cocoa and mix again. Sieve flour, b soda & salt and add to the mixture & mix until just combined. Fold in choc chips.

Put balls of mixture on trays, wet fingers and pat down. Cook for 15 mins - they will look underdone.
Let cool slightly on trays and then on racks.

I love to blether

Blether is a word we use in Scotland for someone who talks a lot - usually nonsense. So what better way to blether than to have a blog especially for it? Makes perfect sense to me! I wonder if that means it's not blethering? :o)

I'm going to use this blog for blethering about random things - no specific topics - just things that come to mind. Funny thing is, now that I've gone to the trouble of setting it up, I have no idea what to blether about!

Maybe next time I come on, I'll have something to blether about!
