rainbow quilt - finished

I finished the rainbow quilt at the weekend. Oh. My. Goodness. It's so fabulous!

Please note my quilt holder's slippers! I think they add a certain something to the quilt, don't you? :oD

Here's a close up of the stripey black/colour binding. I love it!

This quilt is going nowhere. It's not going into the tartan bee shop to be sold. It's not going in to Debbie's shop in Perth to be sold. It's staying right here. With me. So I can look at it and admire it and use it and just love it!

I made myself a dress yesterday and today which I am delighted with. Unfortunately, the photos I took of myself in the dress are awful. Dreadful. Really, really bad. I'll see if I can get better ones tomorrow - probably taken by someone other than myself! :o)

  2. That looks so good and will be so snuggly, so why give it away or sell. Can;t believe how quickly you did it. Mine take forever. Keep warm and take care.

  4. It's turned out beautiful. When I saw your drawing I thought it might be a bit bright & busy, but when you see it finished it's gorgeous. I might have to borrow your pattern and make one of my own. I'm hoping you think that imitation is flattery! Oh and I loved Nora's Sea Swept - great series.

    1. Feel free to borrow the pattern, Fran. I'm honoured that you'd think it worthy of copying! :o)

And, yes, the Chesapeake Quartet is one of my absolute favourite series of Nora's - if not, *the* absolute favourite.

  11. Such a pretty quilt - well done, you.
I was a little concerned when I saw the slippers (and socks!) - how short were my trousers? Why didn't someone tell me?! Then I realised I had been wearing a skirt and boots so the look made perfect sense! All is right with the world!!

    1. LOL I did wonder how I could see your socks but didn't think it might be a shortage in the trouser department. I'm so glad it wasn't! :oD
