Remembrance Sunday

They went with songs to the battle, they were young.
Straight of limb, true of eye, steady and aglow.
They were staunch to the end against odds uncounted,
They fell with their faces to the foe.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.

from the poem, For the Fallen, by Robert Laurence Binyon.

  1. We should never forget the sacrifice others have given for us.

  2. Year after year we prove that we definitely will remember them x

  3. Beautiful yet poignant poem. We will remember and be thankful.

Thanks for taking the time to comment on my blethers. I really appreciate it. I do try to reply to everyone but sometimes life just gets in the way of that happening! :o)
