since I was here last

Thank you to everyone who commented on my last post about our wee Rosie - both here and by e-mail. I really appreciate all your kind words. It's still hard to believe it's happened. :o(

Okay, deep breath.

I have a few things to show you. First, a skirt I made - Butterick 4461.

And the ongoing sewing of the oven gloves I'm getting there ... slowly!

Today, we took a trip out to Hobbycraft in Falkirk. I bought some fabric - no real surprise there, I suppose! :o)

Plenty there to keep my busy! :o)

  1. Hello Anne, I'm so sorry to hear about Rosie. They become such a big part of the family it's a shock when they pass away. I hope your all ok.
Lovely to see all the gorgeous fabric and the skirt looks wonderful. Take care.

    1. Thanks, Ali. It's been a hard few days but it is getting easier as the days pass.

I'm excited to see what I'm going to make with the fabrics - it's as much a surprise to me as it is for everyone else! :oD

  2. What a darling skirt... and those fabrics are fab! I esp like the one with the sewing paraphernalia. Looking forward to seeing these become projects...

  4. You've been on my mind, Anne - good to read that you're doing ok, but I know that the sadness will be around for a while. On a happier note, that's a lovely skirt and your local Hobbycraft seems to have a way better selection of fabric than mine!
Enjoy creating with those fab new additions to your stash :-)
    Hugs

    1. Thanks for thinking of me Gilly. It has been a really hard week.

Luckily, the Hobbycraft in Falkirk isn't local to me. Well, it is my local one but it's about 50 minutes drive away. I'd be permanently skint if it was any closer! *:D big grin

    1. I was only going to buy one of the chicken or sheepie fabrics but I couldn't make up my mind. It's a good thing that Falkirk isn't just 5 minutes away or I'd be permanently skint! :oD

  7. I've been missing you, Anne. Jenn posted the link to your blog, which I lost two computers ago. i hope you don't mind me coming here just to say Hi. Since we last spoke, I have acquired three more dogs to join Delilah. I can only imagine your pain. I am sorry.

    1. Pam, you're a no-reply blogger so I can't e-mail you back so I'm writing here on the off-chance that you come back and read it. It's wonderful to "see" you again and, of course I don't mind you coming here. Are you in touch with any of the other MFFLers? What fun times we used to have on there! :o)

  8. Love, Love, LOVE that skirt Anne! How very clever to add that touch of red trim. And, of course, the sheepie fabric is a big hit!
