the other gifts

As promised, here are new photos of the other gifts I got for my birthday. The light was much better today for taking photos - well, it was this morning. This afternoon we had torrential rain. *sigh* Anyway, much better to think of birthday gifts than our weather!!

First of all, A CD, a very funny book about answers pupils gave in exams and a beaded cover for jugs etc.

Some sparklies.

Some more salt and pepper sets. Milk cartons -

Owls -

Cars -

And a wooden set made by Jason -

I also got some clock parts which I'm going to make into a clock of some sort and a charm pack of fabrics.

Maybe I'll put the two together to make a fancy patchwork clock. It would go really nicely in my sewing room!

All in all, I was - am - a very lucky 58 year old! :oD

  1. Oh Anne I've got the follow up to that exam book - it had Mr K and I in tears of laughter after a couple of glasses of wine the other night eg: 'When I grow up I want to drive a cat'! Lovely gifts x Jane

  3. Lucky you. That book sounds great, must look for it. S & P's are all good, especially the ones made by Jason.
Patchwork clock? I actually have a pattern marked for one done with a dresden plate, which is really lovely.

    1. Ooooh, I like that idea, Susan. A 12 piece dresden would make a fabulous clock! :o)

  4. Love the owl salt & pepper set, and also the one Jason made. My dad and my 11 year old son have recently taken up similar endeavors, but so far I only have the grinder which has become a sea salt grinder. Very nice work though, if a momma may say so.

  6. Lovely gifts! I've got the CD - she is fabulous! The s&p sets are brilliant - I love the owls. We had torrential rain late yesterday evening, so everything is sprakly clean and bright this morning.

    1. Yes, I've played the CD repeatedly since I got it and it's wonderful! We had that rain too. Today was better, though. It was even sunny for a wee while!

    1. Thanks, Jo. I already have purple and green shoes like the blue ones Joanna got me so she knew I'd like them - and that they'd fit. (They came from Amazon.)

  9. Hello Anne, I hope you had a lovely birthday. What wonderful gifts. I'm guessing no one is stuck for something to buy you if they can find a salt and pepper set you haven't got. I love Emeli Sande she has such a beautiful voice.
