52 weeks of happy - week 15

Here are my 4 happy photos for this week.

1. My first photo is of a blouse that I'm making as part of a craftsy.com sewing course. I'd read last week some time that the courses were on sale for one day only so I went to see if I'd be interested in any of them. I enrolled for one about making patterns fit which was half price (and included a Vogue pattern in that price) and for the " Sassy Librarian Blouse " course which was a third of its normal price. Saving lots of money always makes me happy!! This photo shows me at the very early stages of the blouse course with the paper pieces stuck together. I've got a long way to go with it but so far I'm happy with it.

2. When we moved the bookcase with my cookery books through to the livingroom last week, the salts and peppers all got put together on the alcove shelves. They will get moved sometime to another happy shelf but, in the meantime, I like them like this.

3. I was tidying some computer files this afternoon and found this. Debbie had made it a while ago and that's Rosie and Molly at the top - allegedly.

4. And finally, this one really makes me laugh. Our hut door has a cat flap in it and Joanna took Rosie into the hut to show her how it worked. As you can see, Molly was a bit surprised to see Rosie's face! :oD

  1. Good for you for getting a deal on the course... I usually just sign up for something no matter the cost cuz I'm just to excited... then I regret it! Love the cat flap, too cute! Cheers~

    1. I'm so glad I got the deal on the courses, Heather. They're not cheap at full price - in my humble opinion!

  2. I'm interested to know what you think of the course as I'd like to learn how to draft my own patterns but didn't know if it would be better face to face. Like you I'd want it at bargain price. Can't wait to see how the blouse turns out. The Russian doll salt and pepper pots look lovely. Do you use any of them? The dog laws made me smile I think our cat is of a similar opinion. Enjoy the rest of your week.

    1. I'm working my way through the blouse at the moment, Ali, and haven't started the fitting course yet. Maybe I should have done that one first, though, as I'm thinking I need to do some adjustments on this blouse to make sure it fits me! *sigh*

I don't use any of those salts and peppers - they're only for looking at and making me happy! :o)

    1. LOL There should also be one for "if you were eating something and the teeniest, tiniest bot if it fell on the floor, it's mine" ... for dog to dog and dog to human! :oD

  5. I love the dog laws ..... we used to have a spaniel and a tiny poodle. Whenever the poodle got off her bean bag, the spaniel would immediately get up and take her place, despite the fact the bean bags were identical!

    1. That sounds like Molly! If Rosie gets off the couch, Molly will immediately jump on to where she'd been - probably because it'd be warm! :o)

  9. Love the dog laws and the door pic. The salt and pepper shakers remind me of Mum's collection. They were on the top of the high kitchen cupboards and always looked dusty. Yours look lovely.

    1. Mine were a wee bit dusty before they got moved but I gave them all a wee bit of a rub down before I put them on those shelves so they're looking good now. :o)

  11. Hi Anne, new follower here! Lovely happy photos, and the dog laws definitely apply to my cat Thomas (who is currently asleep on my husband's computer bag, thus claiming it for himself!) Molly looks adorable! Getting back into sewing, but not able to get to courses :(
